This book is no better than the first. Kelsey is still an annoying teenager who talks like an eighty-year-old grandmother's version of teenagers. The stilted romance is still ever present complete with love triangles. I thought the 2nd book in Colleen's Houck's series was better than the first. I liked how she took a step back and allowed us to get to know Ren better and watch Kelsey's and his relationship really grow. At the same time, I liked how the story turned and I found myself cheering for others to succeed as the book progressed. The book is a mixture of adventure, love story, comedy, and magic all rolled into one. Colleen has made learning about India and mythology fun as it relates to her story. I
