As usual, Slaughter delivers an interesting mystery with complex characters (some were in the previous book of the series, some are new). The start was really strong! If the story was as good as the first chapters, it could deserve more stars, but I just didn't find myself as enthralled as with the Grant County series or Triptych. Honestly, it's my least favorite to this day, but it's still a Slaughter: nice writing and touching characters. I hope we're gonna see more of Faith in the next books,
