Chronicle In Pursuance Of Books Destined (The Vampire Journals #4)

In DESTINED (Book #4 in the Vampire Journals), Caitlin Paine wakes to discover herself back in time. She finds herself in a cemetery, on the run from a mob of villagers, and seeks refuge in the ancient cloisters of Assisi, in the countryside of Umbria, Italy. There, she learns of her destiny and her mission: to find her father and the ancient vampire Shield needed to save mankind. But Caitlin’s heart still pines for her lost love: Caleb. She desperately needs to know if he has survived their trip back in time. She learns that her mission requires her to go to Florence, but if she wants to pursue matters of the heart, she must go to Venice. She chooses Venice. Caitlin is overwhelmed at what she finds. Venice of the eighteenth century is a surreal place, men and women dressed in elaborate costumes and masks, celebrating an endless, lavish party. She is thrilled to discover and reunite with some of her close friends, and to be welcomed back into their coven. And she is excited to join them in Venice’s Grand Ball, the most important costume dance of the year, where she hopes, once again, to find Caleb. But Caitlin is not the only one who can travel back in time: Kyle soon arrives, too, and is determined to hunt her down and kill her once and for all. Sam, too, arrives, determined to save his sister before it is too late. At the Ball, Caitlin searches everywhere, and finds no sign of Caleb. That is, until the very last dance. She dances with a masked man who takes her heart away, and she feels certain that it is him. But as the partners change, she loses him again. Or does she? Caitlin soon finds herself torn between the two loves of her life, and discovers that she has to be careful what she wishes for. Her joy at finding what she wants might just come mixed with tragedy and heartbreak. In a climactic, action-packed ending, Caitlin finds herself up against true evil, Rome’s ancient vampire coven, and the most powerful vampire coven that ever existed. Surviving will demand all her skills, as she finds herself battling for her very life. She will have to sacrifice more than ever, if she is to save the one she loves…. DESTINED is Book #4 in the Vampire Journals (following TURNED, LOVED and BETRAYED), and yet it also stands alone as a self-contained novel. DESTINED is over 60,000 words.

Article Regarding Books Destined (The Vampire Journals #4)
this may contain spoilers from the previous books in the series.I received this from the author in exchange for an honest review.Devastated at Caleb's death Caitlin has traveled back in time to save him. She ends up in Venice in 1790, the streets are overcrowded, the people flood the street and hygiene is unheard of. Split during the time travel Caitlin is searching for Caleb eager to start where they left off. Along the way she runs into a host of familiar faces including Polly, Tyler, Taylor

This is the 4th book in the Caitlin and Caleb story.. I wanted to start this story quickly only because of the ending of the last story. Caitlin accidently stab Caleb thinking it was not him and is back on the Isle Pollepel trying to save him. Caitlin is now going back in time with Caleb. Caitlin is taken to 1790 Italy in a time that Caitlin is not familiar with wondering if Caleb is ok and if he made it. Caitlin learns why she was brought to the this time and place as always with vampires they

Oh man, I have so much to say about this book. First of all, this series is so good and i cant wait to read the next book. I am hooked. I got a little frustrated with caitlin, because she is so worried about caleb. I don't like the fact that she feels like she needs caleb to accomplish anything. I liked her with blake, she was more confident. I also wonder if aiden is her father. I cant wait to start the next one. So far, my favorite is still betrayed which is book 3.

What's happeningAs I've said in my previous reviews on this series I read this over a year ago and never intended to review, in fact I couldn't forgive myself for being such an idiot and buying all the books then saving them to read together making it too late to get a refund. This book is littered with mistakes and not just little ones we're talking wrong names used and everything in fact there's nothing in this book to suggest that it was even checked before it was put out.

Thrilling from page 1 to the last word!! Sam and Caleb need to open their eyes and follow CATLIN!I love all the Vampire journals, but I have never read a book by Morgan Rice that I didn't like, well some I LOVED, others my husband really enjoyed. I can't believe how you are able to give free books, except that before you know it I have purchased all 12!! I'm a really big fan and know that you will continue to write excellent novel's. Just wish the library would carry your books. Currently

*may contain spoilers*Now the biggest issue with these books is the spelling and grammar and the fact that Rice mixes up characters, alongside skipping huge chunks of time.Like how did Kyle and Sam go back in time? How did they know that's where Caitlin went? Also HUGE ISSUE HERE - Why the hell does Polly say they have lived in Venice for hundreds of years in this book but in book 3 she told Caitlin she was dropped off at Pollepel when she was a baby and that's why she is called Polly??

Good series. Bad editing.
