Volume 6 is by far one of my favorite volumes. The first story in the series involves a mysterious cat picture, a very large 'ground cherry' and hand holding. In it Yuko tasks Watanuki and Domeki to walk the pandemonium parade. Yuko has given them very specific instructions concerning how they are to proceed in the parade. They must hold the ground cherry together "in much the same way a newlywed couple would hold the knife to cut the wedding cake". OF course the parade could not go smoothly and

This time Watanuki gets a very important/lovely gift just a shame that Domeki had to come with him. Don't get me wrong, I love the guy for most of the time, but the bickering just turns very stale and sour. But I did like the conversation between Yuuko and Domeki. A small and spooky lesson in proverbs (welp). One of my favourite stories happened, I am delighted to see it, though it is also one that keeps breaking my heart. Good character development and plot progression. Absolutely in love with Yuuko-san by now.

Overall Rating: A-Synopsis: xxxHolic by Clamp follows Watanuki, an orphan who is plagued by spirits. While being chased by spirits, Watanuki runs into a strange shop and meets a strange woman named Yūko. She turns out to be a powerful witch, and makes a deal with Watanuki to help him remove his "curse" in exchange for working in her shop and cooking for her. Hijinks and adventure ensue.I can't remember now why I picked up the first volume of xxxHolic, but I'm glad I did. The series starts off

The first story in this one has Watanuki is part of a strange parade. Then he finds out there is truth to an old saying. Finally, he meets a new friend while Yuko is busy out of town, but the relationship isn't healthy for him.

I really enjoyed the tragic twist in the story of the lonely woman who was so comforting to Watanuki. I am beginning to tire of Watanuki's attitude towards Doumeki though. Yeah he's arrogant but he has been a dependable ally in so many situations now that Watanuki needs to grow up.
