But now he's looking for a miracle. He must act as team mentor while still striving for the one thing that matters most this season---keeping a promise he made years ago.Megan Gunn works two jobs and spends her spare time helping at the youth center. Much of what she does, she does for the one boy for whom she is everything---a foster child whose dying mother left him in Megan's care. Now she wants to adopt him, but one obstacle stands in the way. Her foster son, Cory, is convinced that 49ers quarterback Aaron Hill is his father. Two men and the game they love. A woman with a heart for the lonely and lost, and a boy who believes the impossible. Christian fiction rocks!!! Every time I find one of these gems I think to myself, man I should read more of these. I dare you to read this and not smile. It's cute, hopeful and uplifting.Great book! I kept waiting for some sort of "twist,' but there wasn't one, and I'm actually OK w/ that! I'm a sucker for happy endings, so I'm definitely not complaining. And I'm so NOT into sports, so I was glad that football was only a part of this book. As the title says, most of life happens between Sundays! ;)
Id probably give this 3.5 stars. This is the story of a young boy whos mom dies and hes left in the care of his moms best friend. The mom always told him his dad was the famous NFL QB from the 49ers so the boy makes it his mission to meet his dad. The friend cant legally adopt him until he stops saying he has a dad, so Megan (the moms friend) tries to convince him thats not true and he shouldnt let it go.One of the other 49ers hosts a pizza party and meet and greet for all the foster kids so the

The book "Between Sundays" was one of the best books I have ever read. I do believe that it is pretty predictable within the beginning of the book, but its intentions work out how you would want them to be. Little 8-year old Cory is a little foster boy who just wanted to meet his father who is a 49ers football player. Her "foster mother" Megan believes that Corey is just being a normal obsessive fan. On the other hand, Arron Hill (his so-called father) thought that if he was in touch with foster
This was a reread from one of my favourite authors.I enjoyed this story, pages filled with emotional battles, surrendering to God, forgiveness and reconciliation. Karen did a great job of drawing the readers in on an emotional level. I especially enjoyed seeing Aaron grow from a selfish boy to a strong godly man. This book will remain on my shelf for another reread later.
Who we are between Sundays is what matters most. This is an enjoyable, clean lit read. Pretty predictable but good nonetheless. Enjoy!
I have a confession to make - this is the first book I have read by Karen Kingsbury. I know! For someone who reads a fair amount of Christian fiction it seems strange that I have skipped over her books entirely. But no longer. I have had Between Sundays sitting on my shelf for a while now and the other day I picked it up on a whim. And I didn't put it down. I enjoyed the emotionally charged story. Second chances, finding faith, love, foster children, the importance of family, and even American
